The Actors in Zagvozd

It’s been 25 years since renowned Croatian actors held a cultural event that transformed life in the small town of Zagvozd, becoming a symbol of cultural revival in this isolated mountainous area.
The Actors in Zagvozd is the result of a strong desire to bring theater culture to Vedran Mlikota’s hometown, attracting people from across the region to summer nights filled with entertainment, music, exhibitions, and performances.
Each year, we contribute to Croatian artists by enhancing the unique area with our design, and for the “Silver Anniversary” of the Actors in Zagvozd, we’ve created a new branding emphasizing the event’s longstanding presence and special connection to the local community. Through a redesign of visual concepts—logo, posters, informative website detailing the history, love, and inception of the event, as well as the program and other materials—we’ve crafted a contemporary depiction of the history of the entire theater scene in Zagvozd. We’ve also produced a monograph that revives emotional moments and songs associated with cultural events as a timeless memento for our artists and audience.
Our aesthetic vision and expression highlight the passion and character of the event through a dynamic blend of black and red, exuding the fervor and strong character invested in it. We further emphasize the intensity and growth of the event through angled elements and a collage of content reflecting the contributions of all participants.
The goal of this project was to mark 25 years of existence and surprise participants with a change in visual identity, reigniting the passion and excitement we felt while creating this concept.
